Meta Investment is an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor and CFP-certified financial planning practice based in Pune. We work with salaried professionals, IT employees, business owners, and families across Pune to build goal-based investment plans — not just sell mutual funds.
Our approach is built around your goals: a child’s education, buying a home, retirement security, or building a corpus for financial independence. Every recommendation starts with understanding your income, existing liabilities, risk tolerance, and the timeline attached to each goal.
Who We Serve in Pune
IT Professionals and Salaried Employees — Pune’s IT corridor (Hingewadi, Wakad, Hinjewadi Phase 2) is home to thousands of working professionals with strong monthly surpluses and long investment horizons. We help you maximise that advantage through equity SIPs, ELSS for 80C saving, and NPS for structured retirement planning.
Business Owners and Self-Employed Professionals — Irregular income makes disciplined investing harder, but more important. We design SIP plans that accommodate variable cash flows, and help business owners deploy surplus capital tax-efficiently into debt and hybrid mutual funds.
Families Planning for Education and Retirement — Whether you are saving for your child’s college fund 10 years away or your own retirement 20 years away, goal-based SIPs with annual reviews keep the plan on track through market cycles.
First-Time Investors — If you have been keeping money in savings accounts or FDs and wondering whether to start investing, we start with a no-pressure consultation, a risk profiling session, and a clear recommended plan before you commit a rupee.
How We Work
Step 1 — Understand Your Goals A 30-minute conversation about your income, expenses, existing investments, and the goals you are working towards. No forms, no sales pitch.
Step 2 — Build Your Plan We recommend a specific SIP amount, fund mix, and asset allocation tied to each goal. For PMS-eligible investors, we also present curated PMS strategies.
Step 3 — Review and Rebalance Annual portfolio reviews to rebalance your allocation, increase SIP amounts as income grows, and adjust for any change in your goals or life situation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much should I invest in SIP every month?
There is no single answer — it depends on your income, existing liabilities, and the goal you are working towards. A common starting point is 20% of your take-home salary, but a proper goal-based plan will give you a precise number tied to your specific target and timeline.
What is the difference between a direct plan and a regular plan in mutual funds?
In a direct plan, you invest without a distributor, which means a lower expense ratio but no advisory support. In a regular plan through an AMFI-registered MFD like Meta Investment, you get goal tracking, annual reviews, rebalancing advice, and consolidated portfolio reporting — the cost difference is typically 0.5–1% per year.
How do I start investing if I have never invested before?
Start with a risk profiling session, which takes about 15 minutes. Based on your risk score and financial goals, we recommend an initial SIP amount and fund mix. KYC is done online; the first SIP instalment can be set up the same day.
What is ELSS and how does it help save tax?
ELSS (Equity Linked Savings Scheme) is a mutual fund category that qualifies for a deduction of up to ₹1.5 lakh per year under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act. It has the shortest lock-in of any 80C instrument — 3 years — and has the potential to deliver inflation-beating returns over the long term. Investments are subject to market risk.
Is SIP better than a fixed deposit for long-term goals?
For goals 7 years or more away, equity SIPs have historically generated higher post-tax, post-inflation returns than FDs. FDs are better suited for short-term, capital-protected needs. The right mix depends on your goal timeline and risk tolerance.
What is PMS and who should consider it?
Portfolio Management Service (PMS) is a professionally managed equity portfolio with a minimum investment of ₹50 lakh as prescribed by SEBI. It is suited for high-net-worth investors who want customised stock-level portfolios rather than pooled mutual fund units. Meta Investment is a SEBI-regulated PMS distributor registered with APMI (Reg. No. APRN01448).
Do you offer NPS for retirement planning?
Yes. We help Pune residents enrol in NPS (National Pension System) and choose an appropriate asset allocation between equity, government bonds, and corporate bonds based on their retirement timeline. NPS also offers additional tax benefits under Section 80CCD(1B).
Can I get financial advice online without visiting the office?
Yes. We offer video consultations, WhatsApp-based portfolio reviews, and a fully online onboarding process. You can complete KYC and start your SIP without visiting the office.
